With stress levels continuing to increase in most people’s lives many men are becoming more irritable, angry, and frustrated. For some it is a minor annoyance. For others it can cause significant problems for themselves and those close to them. In working with men, and the people who love them, I’ve developed a quiz to help you assess how irritability, anger, or frustration may be impacting your life or the lives of those you love.
The quiz was originally designed for a research study I conducted for my book, The Irritable Male Syndrome: Understanding and Managing the 4 Key Causes of Depression and Aggression. I posted the quiz on-line and it has now been taken by more than 40,000 men and many thousands of women throughout the U.S. and around the world.
Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions. For each item noted, check whether it is true of you, or the man you care about, “not at all or rarely,” “sometime,” “frequently,” or “most of the time.”
